Long Lost Family Series 9 returns to ITV1 on Monday the 10th June at 9pm. Presenters Nicky Campbell and Davina McCall return to bring you more tales of adoption, family separation and longed for reunion.
Ariel Bruce and her colleague, Charlotte Bruce-Lloyd ASA, return for series 9 as the lead search and social work consultants, having worked on all 8 previous seasons of the award winning series. Ariel and her team undertake all of the search, intermediary work and social care behind the scenes, allowing the emotional stories to be brought to life by Nicky and Davina on screen.
Series 9 sees the increased use of DNA research in the search team’s work, as demonstrated in ‘Long Lost Family Special: Born Without Trace’, which aired in February 2019. Long Lost Family series 9 also sees the first celebrity searcher as Ariel and the team help Scottish singer KT Tunstall to to piece together her family background and the circumstances of her adoption.
Again this series is a truly worldwide endeavour, as searches take the team to locations such as Chicago, Brisbane, Belfast and Canada in the hope of family reunion.
